Fundraising Coordinator

Raising money to support the festival is something that goes on all year. It’s important to keep eyes and ears open for people or businesses that might be interested in supporting a cultural event in the community. Start approaching businesses early in the fall because many have to contact head offices to approach the people who make funding decisions.
– Request letters
– Follow-up/thank you letters (with receipts?)
– Businesses are given the option to place an ad in the program
– Communicate with the treasurer re donations received
– Submit grant applications and reports
– Work with treasurer and community reps in order to coordinate receipts and ensure forms are filled out appropriately
– Work with treasurer to organize suitable receipts
