All awards are subject to the eligibility requirements of the TRMF Association and are given out for meritorious work, at the discretion of the adjudicators. Please visit twinriversmf.ca/eligibility for guidelines regarding TRMF award eligibility. Awards will be reviewed annually. If you have any concerns, please contact a member of the executive.

TRMF Prestige Award
$250 may be awarded in each discipline to one outstanding post high school competitor, up to and including the age of 28. This award would be divisible in case of a tie.

Helga Lutke “I Love a Piano” Award

Helga Lutke was born and raised in Dalmeny. She studied music with teachers in Saskatoon and during this time, won numerous awards in the Saskatoon Music Festival. She taught school in Alberta and British Columbia and early childhood music in Fresno, CA. She was passionate about providing opportunities for everyone to experience the joy of active music-making through the Carl Orff philosophy. This was reflected in her interest in founding the ‘I Love a Piano’ award which is to be given to a junior piano student who shows interest and enjoyment of music, not necessarily based on the highest mark.
